Unreal/Fmod Project


This video is a project that involves using FMOD to put sounds that I have gotten into the Unreal Engine. I found copyright free sounds on the internet (Freesound.org) and edited them in Pro Tools and Reaper so that they would be able to be used in FMOD. I then integrated them into Unreal in various ways.

Animations: I used notifies to put sounds into animations using the animation and the blueprints.

Ambience/Music: I placed the FMOD events into the map so that would play from the beginning and would create the ambience of the game and so they would play the background music.

Triggered: I had some event sounds that were triggered by clicking an object, a particle effect spawning into the map and when a weapon is chosen on one of the wall spaces. The particle effect for example was done by creating a blueprint on the particle effect and choosing that when it spawned it would play an event.

The video contains a look at the FMOD session, the unreal session and the blueprints and has a short display of the game in action.
